“Who hired you?” What Diana saw before her was competition. The girl was ravishing. She’d been estranged from Chase and Donavan for a month and in that time had come to realize what a huge mistake she had made. She was incensed that this girl was her replacement. When the girl answered, her worst fears were recognized.

“Chase and Donavan have me working here,” Liana said.

“You can get your ass out of here. Chase and Donavan are mine, and I am not letting some two-bit, wannabe cowgirl spread her legs like a whore for my men,” Diana grated out, turning her beautiful face rather ugly.

“Liana, come here,” Chase said as he came to a halt beside the women. He put his arm around Liana when she walked to him and turned with her firmly against his side.

“Diana, to what do we owe the pleasure of your visit?” Chase asked pleasantly, as if every day an ex-lover showed up.

“Chase, what’s the meaning of this? Why is this girl here?” Her high-pitched voice startled a few of the horses as they walked by. It also brought every pair of eyes to the debacle unfolding in front of the barn.
